About

Who we are

God’s Own Ministry is a registered charity serving Manchester and surrounding communities (Charity No. 1209437).
We exist to advance the Christian faith through worship, Bible teaching, prayer, and Christian resources that help people grow in hope and purpose.

We believe faith must show up in real life.
So we offer community support and signposting for people affected by difficult life situations, including domestic abuse—especially young mothers and teenagers.

Our mission

To bring hope, practical support, and faith-based care to our community—so people can move from surviving to rebuilding.

Our vision

A Christ-centred community where people meet Jesus, grow in faith, and live with renewed purpose.

What we do

  • Weekly worship services with Bible-based teaching
  • Prayer meetings for individuals and families
  • Bible study and discipleship for spiritual growth
  • Pastoral support and listening support
  • Community signposting to trusted local services when specialist help is needed
  • Youth and family support through church community activities

Our values

  • Christ at the centre — Scripture guides what we do
  • Love in action — we support people, not just talk about it
  • Respect and dignity — every person matters
  • Integrity — we handle responsibility with care
  • Community — church should feel like family

Safeguarding

We take safeguarding seriously.

A note on support

We are here to support, pray, and signpost. We are not a replacement for emergency services.
If you or someone is in immediate danger, call 999. If you need urgent help and it is not an emergency, call NHS 111.
